Astronomy

Description: The word “science” comes from “scientia,” meaning “knowledge”. And as Aristotle puts it, “Knowledge comes through the senses.” It is important to start our understanding of nature by experiencing the world around us. This course will leverage analytical recognition of constellations and planets with experiential moments (get ready to go outside!), all while highlighting the stories and characters the constellations and planets are named after.

Grade Level: 4-6 (ages 9-12)

Prerequisites: None

Required Materials: The Book of Astronomy, Student & Teacher Books. Students will also need a USB headset (built-in microphones also work).
