Discovering Design with Earth Science (Berean Builders)
Description: This Berean Builders college-preparatory earth science course introduces students to the structure and processes of the geosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. Students explore Earth’s layers, rocks and minerals, plate tectonics, earthquakes, and volcanoes. They learn how fossils are formed and interpreted, comparing views such as uniformitarianism and catastrophism. The course concludes with an introduction to the solar system and the universe. This course is worth 1 high school science credit when taken during high school.
Grade Level: 8–9 (ages 13–15)
Prerequisites: Students must be able to divide with fractions and work substitution formulas.
