Discovering Design with Physics (Berean Builders)
Description: This Berean Builders college-preparatory physics course introduces students to the fundamental principles and laws that govern the physical world. Students will learn the methods and concepts of general physics, with a strong emphasis on vector analysis, one-dimensional and two-dimensional motion, Newton’s laws and their application, gravity, work and energy, momentum, periodic motion, waves, optics, electrostatics, electrodynamics, electrical circuits, and magnetism. This course is worth 1 high school science credit.
Grade Level: 11–12 (ages 16–18)
Prerequisites: Students must have completed Algebra I and Geometry and have an understanding of the functions of sine, cosine, and tangent.
Required Materials:
- Discovering Design with Physics Set
- (Includes the Textbook & Answer Key)
- Household items will be needed for experiments listed in the textbook appendix.
- A blank, lined notebook for reading notes, written review answers, and recording experiment results
