The Writing Forum

Description: The Writing Forum invites students to submit their own written works focused on the timeless themes of truth, goodness, or beauty. Whether through essays, poetry, creative narratives, or reflective pieces, students will explore these profound ideas in their writing. Each session will feature student presentations, followed by thoughtful critique and discussion. The goal is to refine their expression, sharpen their ideas, and engage in a collaborative effort to better understand these central themes. This Forum provides a unique opportunity for students to develop their voice and style while deepening their exploration of these enduring concepts.

The Forums will meet twice a month for one semester.

Because there are no graded assessments, students will not receive a grade or credit for participation in the Forum. The students may be asked to read a short text for discussion by the group or a student may be asked to share a writing sample with the group. Grade Level: 9-12 (ages 14-18)

Prerequisites: None

Required Materials: Students will be engaging actively with other students and so they will need a USB headset microphone and a camera (a built-in camera may also work).
