Andrew Harker

Mr. Harker currently resides in West Virginia with his wife, Tori, and daughter, Rosalie. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Fairmont State University, where he studied civil engineering, mathematics, and education. Afterwards, Mr. Harker earned his master’s degree in secondary education from Grand Canyon University. Presently, he is completing a PhD in education: curriculum and instruction from Liberty University. Mr. Harker has spent the last 4 years teaching full-time for local high schools, as well as tutoring for local universities across a variety of subjects. However, his personal interests and graduate studies have led him towards a love and appreciation for classical education, which he is delighted to be a part of as a teacher for Memoria Academy. Although much of his career as a young educator has been associated with mathematics and physics, his passions and interests in the educational sphere span across a myriad of subjects, including philosophy and classical literature. Outside of teaching, however, Mr. Harker thoroughly enjoys the past times of reading, writing, hunting, fishing, and building fine furniture in his woodshop.
